Through our strategic relationship with the Institute of Economic Affairs, one of the leading free-market think tanks in the UK, Pi has secured a limited number of spots for members to attend an IEA lunch in February.  The topic of the lunch will be: “The International Economic Impact of the Financial Crisis”.  The speaker is Dr. Gerard Lyons, Chief Economist & Group Head of Global Research at Standard Chartered Bank.  Dr. Lyons joined Standard Chartered in 1999 and also serves as the Economic Advisor to the board and on the Bank’s Executive Forum.  He previously worked as Chief Economist at DKB International and as Chief UK Economist at Swiss Bank Corporation.  He received his doctorate from the University of London on the topic of: “Testing the efficiency of financial futures markets”.
