In association with The Policy Exchange we are delighted to be able to offer a very limited number of spaces to an evening lecture with Professor J Shiller of Yale University.
Professor Shiller is one of the world’s leading economists. He has written a paper for Policy Exchange on how the government could use inflation-indexing to make it much easier for all of us to take account of changes in the value of money in our everyday financial decisions. He will discuss this publication along with his latest book, Animal Spirits, which he has co-authored with Nobel Prize winner George Akerlof.
Since 1980 Professor Shiller has been a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Along with developing what are now the Standard & Poor’s/Case Shiller Home Price Indices, which underpin futures markets operated by the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, he is the co-founder of MacroMarkets LLC and the author of several leading texts on economic issues, such as Irrational Exuberance, an analysis of speculative bubbles, and The Subprime Solution: How the Global Financial Crisis Happened and what to do about it. He writes regularly for the New York Times.
RSVP to Kate Lewis if you are interested in attending this event. Please note, spaces are very limited.
